photography is something that i call “an endless romance.”
i find myself constantly falling in love with this art.
i am constantly learning more about it, and chasing after it daily.
i hope to never grow tired or weary of it.
and if that day ever comes,
i hope to lay my camera to rest before i grow bitter over it.
let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves.
wedding photography happened to me. it found me.
i never was seeking after it.
i never sought after any dream of becoming a “real photographer.”
but, it found me.
i would not want my life any other way.
i could not possibly think of it any other way.
thinking of my life without photography, it just does not make sense.
i see the world differently now that i have a camera.
i see colors more vividly, i see the world more wildly.
i get to call this, my job.
i find myself lucky.
a lucky one, to have this.
and i am forever grateful for it.
i give all the praise + honor to the King of Kings.
i give Jesus Christ all the credit to everything i do.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor,
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;
to grant to those who mourn in zion-
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of raise instead of a faint spirit,
that they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord that he may be glorified.
